Speed mentoring is an informal and fun way to meet several like-minded professionals, and to share the wisdom of your endeavors.

Speed mentoring is an event inspired by speed dating. You will be paired with another attendee for discussion and advice about career topics of your choice, for short intervals. When time is up, you are paired with a different mentor or mentee, and start the process of learning new ideas again.

Presenter Mary Gavenda is the Director of Mentoring for the PMI Metro St. Louis chapter.  She leads a team of volunteers running the mentoring program for the chapter and oversees the planning, marketing, matching, and follow up for all mentoring events and cycles.  She is also a Project Manager for Nestle Purina in St. Louis where, alongside managing various Web Application projects, she is a team lead, coaching her team to enhance their collaborative skills and to find their personal best.
