The PMI Metro St. Louis Chapter is a 100% volunteer organization, and we greatly value the contributions all our volunteers provide. The Board of Directors continues to look for ways to adapt to the changing environment by customizing our offerings to meet our members needs. We strive to bring high caliber keynote speakers to address leadership topics as well as other career advancing skills. We focus on both soft and hard skills and want our members to be able to take something away and apply it in their professional and/or personal life. Our main event is our chapter dinner meetings where we seek speakers who provide relevant topics such as executive presences, effective leadership, career development, plus many others. We have expanded our offerings to now include chapter meetings in both Missouri and Illinois. In addition, the number of alternative venue events (breakfast and networking) have been broadened to support a larger geographical area. In addition, we continue to expand our Young Professionals group, Mentoring program, as well our Military connections. One of the key services that we provide as a chapter is our focus on offering Professional Development to our members/community. We will continue to offer classes for the CAPM or PMP as well as the PMI-ACPcertifications. In addition, we are looking to partner with other service providers to offer additional development opportunities.
We continue to be in alignment with PMI Global and focus on the three-pronged strategy to sharpen our Strategic Focus, build out capabilities to be Customer-Centric, and improve our Organizational Agility. One of my goals for us is to continue to meet our members needs as well as expand our recognition/engagement in our community. We will continue to host a Golf Tournament in the fall to benefit St. Jude’s. There are several other organizations that we support as well.
Overall member satisfaction, membership excellence, growth through value, and community outreach continue to be our key focus areas. The board of directors continues to work towards these goals. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or any other board member.
I personally want to thank Venus Patel, our past president, and the Board of Directors for all the work they do for the chapter. I promise that I will continue to work diligently with our Board of Directors and volunteers to lead the chapter to even higher levels of performance.
If you would like to further expand your involvement I would ask that you consider volunteering. By empowering people, we can make ideas a reality!
Please spread the good word about our events to your colleagues, family members, and friends.
Together, we value your input and look forward to another award-winning, wonderful year for PMI Metropolitan St. Louis Chapter!
