Learn about the roles of mentors and mentees and how to make the most of the experience from Director of Mentoring, Mary Gavenda, and her team of volunteers. 

Also, our pre-meeting session will include a presentation from an outstanding leader in mentor training; Dwayne Miller, CLSSMBB, MBA, PMP, ITIL v3F.

After a 24-year career Dwayne is currently a Project Manager with Savi Gurus. In addition to being a PMP, he has an MBA, is a certified Master Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma, and is ITIL v3 Foundations certified. He has been a member of the Metro St. Louis Chapter of PMI since 1998 and a PMP since 2009, and is a founding member of the Chapter’s Mentoring Committee providing mentoring on PMP prep and job search techniques, through project-specific issues.

Dwayne is a member of Toastmasters where he also provides his mentoring expertise, branching out to teaching LinkedIn courses, helping people with their resumes, interview skills, networking, etc. He continues to mentor today, especially those that are job searching.
