January 2021 Chapter Virtual Meeting

Business Acumen

Roads and bridges are everywhere, and everyone relies on our transportation system. But what does it take to build a new road, or repair an aging bridge, or even install a new traffic signal? Each project is unique and has different challenges associated with them, and this presentation will introduce you the processes a project manager faces within the Missouri Department of Transportation. As a steward of the taxpayers’ dollars, MoDOT must always be cognizant of budget and schedule. We also must ensure the public and stakeholders are fully informed and involved throughout the life of every job. Please wear your seatbelt and come prepared with your questions!
